CROCHET PATTERN using US terminology and measurements

The throw is crocheted in worsted weight using a hook two sizes larger than typical. This creates a nice drape but still provides a closer weave to highlight the modern stitch detail.

The stitch work for this throw is a simple (sc, chain) combination over two rows. I’ve seen it labeled as a “Linen Stitch,” “Seed Stitch,” and “Fisherman’s Crochet Stitch.” It has a contemporary look and is very easy to achieve.

This pattern includes my step-by-step process for achieving a razor-sharp edge on both sides of the throw and how to keep your throw nice and square.

Two hooks are called for, though only one is used after your initial chain. The fringe is optional but provides a luxury detail which is easy to achieve.

Three sizes are provided on the four-page pattern:

    30” x 40” - 800 yards
    36” x 48” - 1200 yards
    42” x 54” - 1500 yards
